      Hi Sandra,
Zone 7 is really ideal, with a long enough summer to make 2 or more cuttings on woody perennial culinary herbs and a cold enough winter to keep them happy in dormancy.

This is an amazing selection of kitchen herbs.

I bought this collection several years ago and continue to enjoy this wonderful medley of herbs. There are enough seeds in this collection to keep both you and the neighbors’ gardens looking good. The Sage found a permanent home in a foundation planter next to the house – fresh whenever we need some. The oregano and thyme are permanent bushes that have masses of harvest all summer long. The dill roams freely about the garden, depending on where I want it to grow, the seeds from last year take care of this year. Summer savory reseeds itself as well, and I can’t tell you how many people I’ve shared the secret of “savory in your homemade soup” with. Tarragon was a total stranger, but now a friendly addition to Indian Curry. And if you keep nipping the basil leaves back, you’ll be knee deep in the stuff and very popular with the pesto crowd. Thanks for a true gift that keeps on giving.
