Lily, Tiger (Lilium tigrinum) bulbils, pkt. of 10, organic, [INTL NO]
Family: Lily (Liliaceae)
Zones 4 to 8
(Bai-he, Chinese Tiger Lily) Perfectly cold-hardy herbaceous perennial. This is a packet of 10 fresh bulblets (bulbils). Native to China and Japan. Large, ornate, orange and black, pendulous flowers with showy stamens. Better in my opinion than any of the fancy selections, this is a very old cultivar. Traditional usage (TCM): for treating gynecological woes. Planting bulblets is a fast way to get a lot of good plants going. Upon receipt, push bulblets into surface of mellow seedbed or potting soil in a pot. They will soon throw down roots and send up leaves. Plant prefers part shade and moist, rich soil. Space plants 1 foot apart. Flowers to a height of 3 to 4 feet. Not available internationally. Domestic shipping is the same as for “seeds.”
