Herbaceous perennial native to the Mediterranean. Compact plant gives a neat appearance in formal herb gardens (can trim to shape) and adapts fine to the more flowing lines of the more naturalistic garden. The entire herb is sweetly aromatic–really a step above common catnip.  Traditional usage (TWM): antiseptic, diaphoretic and expectorant. Plant prefers sun to part shade and mesic soils. Flowers large in comparison to the plant. Plant prefers full sun to part shade and does well in dryish soils.  Sow the tiny seeds on the surface and tamp in securely.  Keep evenly moist and in the light.  Germination in 1 to 3 weeks.  Standard culture for perennials.   Plant 1 to 2 feet apart. 30 seeds per packet, Certified Organically Grown
